"I've been a member of Covenant for 30 years. My first experience here was being greeted by sincerely warm and kind people. I've been encouraged by the opportunities to learn more about God's Word and how to apply it to my life; by seeing real people living out their faith in the church and in how they have opened their hearts to serving others. Covenant is a place for real people to have real relationships." Glenna

Covenant Church is family to me. It’s home. I grew up not having a church home or a church family.

For me, Covenant filled the void. I can always come “home” and expect to be fed a good nourishing word and embraced by genuinely caring people.

Covenant has been the perfect addition to our family for 3+ years now.

It's like a family at Covenant. Everyone here is so kind. I drive some distance to get to church, people ask why do I keep coming so far. After all these years, the kindness of the people here has not changed. I keep coming because this is family, it's the people I love.

What Covenant Baptist Church (CBC) represents to me is best paraphrased referencing The Message Bible version of Galatians 2:19. What actually took place is this: I had tried keeping rules and working my head off in Catholic Church to please God, and it didn't work. I didn't have a relationship with Jesus. So I quit being a "law man" so that I could be God's man. The love and consistent welcome shown us each initial visit to CBC was The Lords momentum. The synergy of immediate immersion into bible study along with worship, praise, prayer and preaching offered at CBC is  the sustaining difference for me in believing in my relationship with Jesus.

God's Peace.

Growing up at Covenant I always felt as if it was a family and second home. My parents were always there and busy with something which is why I grew up spending so much time there. As I grew older, got married and had kids of my own I love watching them grow up and feel the same comfort and sense of family, love, and belonging as I did when I was young.

It's amazing what God reveals to you when you have a personal relationship with him. Staying in the will of God is the most important thing you can do in your life. It is because of my hope and faith in who God is and what He has promised His people that I live for Him each day.

This doesn't mean that there won't be trials in your life. I've encountered many while serving our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ but knowing he's with you and can bring you out of your difficulties reinforces your belief of who God is and what He's capable of doing in your life.

You see, just a few years back; I was at the golf driving range feeling great. I suddenly tweaked something inmy knee and decided to see ymy orthopedic doctor. Fluid had built up in my knee, so he decided to drain it to relieve the pain.

That very night at bedtime, I felt what seemed like a dark cloud come over me brining unbearable pain from my shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, and hips. I couldn't sleep that night and my wife (God bless her soul) had to rub my shoulders throughout the night to ease the pain.

Of course, we turned to the Lord in prayer throughout the entire experience and He finally brought me out. That experience along with others has given me the desire to depend and trust God. The experiences in my life both good and bad has allowed me to respond to God with great reverence and awe knowing He's always there with me to leading, healling, protecting and directing my life in thein the way He wants to go. He's truly an awesome God; in which, we should alwaysbe on on fire to serve HIM!
