Covenant Baptist Church is always “on mission with Christ.” Regardless of where you are in your walk with Jesus, Covenant is a place where you can grow in your faith beside others who are committed to serving Christ.  We believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior and that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God.  We also believe that Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are important expressions of faith in God.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about who we are and to join us on any Sunday morning for Worship, Sunday Classes or during the week for Bible study.

Our Values and Beliefs

As a body of believers in Jesus Christ, we share common values and beliefs. Our values are based on

scripture and include:

  •  The Bible is the standard by which all of life’s actions, experiences and faith are judged.

  •  We value faith, love, forgiveness, trust, and a commitment to serving the Lord.

  •  We value humility, diversity of ideas, respect of others, faithful stewardship and service and involvement in our    community.

Our Beliefs

  • We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins and was triumphant over sin and death through the resurrection. By believing in Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, we will experience everlasting life.

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit calls people to the Savior and effects regeneration, cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows spiritual gifts by which believers serve God through His church.

  • We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testament, is the divinely inspired Word of God. Its message is without error, authoritative and totally trustworthy.

  •  We believe in the Priesthood of Believers and that every believer can approach God directly through Jesus Christ. We may come to God in prayer and humble confession of our sins without the intercession of a human advocate. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man.

  • We believe that the local church is a body of believers organized for worship, work and fellowship; that the two ordinances of the church are Believers Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

  • We believe that baptism is for those who have made a personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that baptism through immersion best reflects the Biblical teaching concerning baptism.

  • We believe in religious liberty and separation of church and state.

  • We believe the Great Commission, Matthew 28:19, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

  • We believe in the blessed hope and promise for the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
